Pipeline Maintenance Labor
Location: Casey, IL

Rate of Pay: $20-$25 (based upon experience and/or certifications such as a CDL)
Travel or Overnights Required: Typically gone 5 days at a time, with an occasional two-week travel period
Overtime Pay: On the road, overtime applied after 8 hours
Average hours per week: 40-60 hours
Job Type: Full-time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Painting
  • Hand tool cleaning, Power tool cleaning, Abrasive blast cleaning, High pressure water cleaning
  • Hand excavation through use of shovels, jack hammers and concrete saws
  • Fencing installation or removal
  • Installation and removal of bolts
  • Valve replacement
  • Liquid and solid material handling
  • Driving
  • Pipe fitting work and changing gaskets
  • 4-30″ pipeline removal and installation
  • Minor concrete work
  • Sandblast, painting pipe structures, and I-Rod installation
  • Equipment: Bobcats, Regular and Mini track hoes, Dozers, Material Handlers, UTV’s
  • Pig Tracking – Smart tools, Hydro tests, Nitrogen purges
  • AGM marking & GPS survey collection

Requirements:

  • Must live within 40 miles of Casey, IL
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have clean motor vehicle report
  • Must be willing to get Class A CDL
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Drug Test and background
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working outdoors throughout the year
  • Able to deal with extreme cold and hot climates
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Long shifts of sitting (10-24 hours) when performing Pig Tracking functions
  • Flexible schedules: weather and product movement can cause day-to-day changes
  • Occasional night shifts
  • Minimum High School Degree Required
  • Must be able to perform all job functions that require lifting and/or carrying single items weighing at least 50lbs as well as functions/activities such as pulling, pushing, bending, climbing, standing, lifting, twisting, reaching, squatting and kneeling
