Pipeline Maintenance Labor
Location: Casey, IL
Rate of Pay: $20-$25 (based upon experience and/or certifications such as a CDL)
Travel or Overnights Required: Typically gone 5 days at a time, with an occasional two-week travel period
Overtime Pay: On the road, overtime applied after 8 hours
Average hours per week: 40-60 hours
Job Type: Full-time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Painting
- Hand tool cleaning, Power tool cleaning, Abrasive blast cleaning, High pressure water cleaning
- Hand excavation through use of shovels, jack hammers and concrete saws
- Fencing installation or removal
- Installation and removal of bolts
- Valve replacement
- Liquid and solid material handling
- Driving
- Pipe fitting work and changing gaskets
- 4-30″ pipeline removal and installation
- Minor concrete work
- Sandblast, painting pipe structures, and I-Rod installation
- Equipment: Bobcats, Regular and Mini track hoes, Dozers, Material Handlers, UTV’s
- Pig Tracking – Smart tools, Hydro tests, Nitrogen purges
- AGM marking & GPS survey collection
Requirements:
- Must live within 40 miles of Casey, IL
- Must be able to travel
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have clean motor vehicle report
- Must be willing to get Class A CDL
- Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Drug Test and background
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working outdoors throughout the year
- Able to deal with extreme cold and hot climates
- Good Communication Skills
- Long shifts of sitting (10-24 hours) when performing Pig Tracking functions
- Flexible schedules: weather and product movement can cause day-to-day changes
- Occasional night shifts
- Minimum High School Degree Required
- Must be able to perform all job functions that require lifting and/or carrying single items weighing at least 50lbs as well as functions/activities such as pulling, pushing, bending, climbing, standing, lifting, twisting, reaching, squatting and kneeling
